Just when I thought that I will never be one of those obnoxious list-creating people, I suddenly realized that I’ve had too many awesome finds in the past few month. It would take me a few weeks to share all the goodness, so here I am… saving everyone’s time and attention span with the first list of mine 🙂 And here’s an interesting fact about me – I have way too many lipsticks, lip balms, lip tints, and lip glosses to be purchasing new ones for the next…10 years or so 😉
If you are following me on Instagram you probably noticed me rave about Glamglow masks, cleansers and moisturizer. I do consider the brand pricey and if not for the local Winners carrying some of those products at a great discount, I would have never known about it! I scored this gorgeous silver sphere in Kiss & Tell – Coral for under CAD $10.00. And the last time I checked you can get it half off in Sephora!
It leaves your lips smooth and seductively kissable.
Labiotte lip balm
For those of you not familiar with the Labiotte brand, make sure you check them out! Their wine inspired make-up collection is so adorable yet fashionable! I haven’t had a chance to try any of their skincare products, but it’s definitely on my to-do list 😉
This cute little wine glass contains the prettiest pink in my collection, so translucent and smooth. Its substance is much thicker than the Poutmud’s, but it’s not sticky! My favourite thing about it is how long it lasts without the need to be re-applied.
Yes, I have every imaginable shade of pink in my lip products collection. This purchase happened around the time I saw Pixi explode on Instagram. I didn’t need any of the skincare products at the time nor was I willing to pay that much for them anyway. Yet I wanted to see for myself if the brand was worth all the hype around it. I splurged on their Eye elixir and this Shea Butter tinted lip balm. It’s hydrating, long-wear, soft and absolutely gorgeous!
NYX Powder Puff
Now let’s talk lippies and this very decent Western response to Asian powdery tints. My first lip tint with the same texture and applicator was purchased from Peripera a couple of years ago and I loved it! The shade of pink wasn’t as bright though. I must admit I was sceptical of trying the NYX make of it, but boy is it good! It’s so creamy, soft and doesn’t dry my lips! They should make those in every shade!
Kat Von D Studded Kiss
While all the above lip products have light texture in common, this lipstick is highly pigmented matte and…. hydrating! Didn’t expect that combination of a matte lipstick, eh? I got this one from Influenster and while I was sceptical about the shade, I ended up falling in love with it!
