[JOLSE] CARYOPHY Portulaca Toner 300 ml Review What can I say? I am a sucker for a good toner & this just made it to my “2019 Discoveries” list. Before I proceed with my thoughts on the product, let me tell you how much I appreciate @cosmetic_jolse for their review opportunities. I’ve got a chance to try several products & so far I’ve been pleasantly surprised by the quality & price range of them all. @caryophy.co.kr is a new brand for me & I wasn’t able to confirm whether they are cruelty free. If anyone out there can read Korean - please let me know if they are! I really like this toner and can get behind the USD $16.66 price tag for 300 ml! The toner’s texture is that of a thicker liquid (I hope this makes sense). It won’t get instantly absorbed by a cotton pad, so when applied, it just glides over skin. It definitely delivers on the soothing and hydrating properties. My face feels an instant hydration boost every time I use it. I noticed I’ve been reaching for it over my AOOA toner duo more and more often. It barely smells, is non-sticky, has such power ingredients as Centella Asiatica extract, Madecassoside, Portulaca Extract, Ginseng Leaf/Root extract & Drumstick Leaf extract. Portulaca (also known as Purslane) is said to have amazing regenerative properties and is rich in omega-3 fatty acids. I came across some info on the net, saying that this plant was used in Chinese medicine to treat insect and snake bites! Now that’s pr etty cool :) Another new ingredient is Madecassoside which is a Centella Asiatica derivative and is known for its healing and anti-inflammatory properties. I’ve never done a texture shot of nail polish before but figured my grid could use some variety 💅🏻 So here it is, the latest obsession of mine. Ladies & gentlemen, I give you Rose & Chill by @prettywomannyc @nailmedic I got it last week in my @ipsy bag and it was Love at first sight. It’s such a cool shade that I see myself wearing it all the time. This colour is part of the brand’s infused #nailmedic line. It contains Rose hip and green tea for extra nourishment and hydration. The polish applies like a dream and dries out quickly. One thing I should have done - apply a top coat, but oh well :) next time!
